Laconic exists somewhere between the way Dana sees a design and the way Ethen understands how to build it.
Together, we design and fabricate custom wedding installations and personalized details throughout New England, Florida, and beyond with both of us personally involved from concept through installation.
Dana leads the creative direction, shaping each project through color, composition, surface design, material, scale, textiles, and detail. Ethen brings a background in construction, quality finishing, and an instinctive understanding of structure, fabrication, and how those ideas physically come to life.
That intersection of artist and craftsman is what makes Laconic distinctly ours, allowing us to dream bigger, solve differently, and create work neither of us could make quite the same way alone.

At Laconic Events, I lead the creative direction of every project with vision, intuition, and a commitment to original design. With over a decade in the wedding industry, my work blends sculptural artistry, surface design, and textiles to create wedding installations that are not only visually striking, but deeply felt.
I approach every project by asking one question first: how should this space feel? From there, I translate that emotion into form through material, movement, texture, and scale. Whether I’m designing an architectural installation or a textile moment, each piece is shaped in response to its surroundings, its energy, and the experience it’s meant to create.
My work lives in that balance between structure and softness, where precision meets intuition, and where design becomes something you don’t just see, but experience.
I guide my clients through a process that is both thoughtful and collaborative, ensuring every detail feels aligned, intentional, and entirely their own.
I design for those who want their event to feel like something more, something immersive, emotional, and impossible to replicate.

At Laconic Events, I lead the fabrication of every project, translating design into structure with precision, intention, and expert craftsmanship. My background is entirely hands-on, shaped by years of self-taught building and rooted in traditional woodworking techniques passed down from my grandfather’s workshop.
I bring a balance of old-school discipline and modern execution to every piece we create. Whether it’s a large-scale wedding installation, architectural build, or refined finishing detail, my focus is on engineering pieces that are as structurally sound as they are visually striking—designed to perform and built with intention.
I take pride in making the complex feel seamless, building what hasn’t been built before, and ensuring every concept is executed with the level of precision it deserves.

Our studio follows the seasons, allowing us to create throughout two of the places we love most.
From June through October, Laconic serves celebrations throughout New England, including Newport and coastal Rhode Island, Cape Cod, Boston, the Berkshires, Maine, and beyond.
From November through April, we return to Florida, creating throughout Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and destinations across the state.
No matter the season or location, every Laconic project remains closely connected to us—from creative direction and fabrication through installation.
